WHAT THIS IS:
You and I working together to take down, organize, and format your ideas into a finished book.
(This will include editing and cover design at no additional cost)
WHAT THIS IS NOT:
Me writing your book for you.
Ghost writing can be a tricky thing, and a sticky subject for a lot of writers and editors out there, which is why I want to explain very plainly what this is, and, more importantly, what it is not. The Oxford Dictionary defines a ghost writer as "a person whose job it is to write material for someone else who is named the author." Primarily speaking, ghost writers are meant to fill in and provide technical and storytelling expertise for people who cannot write for themselves, but still have ideas that they want taken down.
This means that for the most part, the types of books being ghost written are memoirs, storybooks, or educational material. The client provides their ideas to the ghost writer, and the ghost writer then formats those ideas into the required flow, structure, and pacing to be read as an easy-to-understand book. This is an important distinction to make because ghost writing is not someone thinking "I've got this idea for a novel, here are some things I want to happen, figure it out." Your story is your own, and I will not write it for you.
To give you an example of a work that I ghost wrote, visit the Gallery Tab and scroll down to the book Non-Convincing Language by David L. Anderson. He is labelled as the author because all of the ideas and concepts communicated within the book are his own, and all I did was organize, trim, and format them into a book. I did not write it for him; at the beginning of the project, he sent me a 50 GB folder that contained all of his knowledge and resources related to the book he wanted, which I then combed through, distilled the necessary elements, cut unnecessary repetition, and organized into the finished book.
All of that to say, if you have stories from your life or any educational material that you would like to share with the world, then I can help you take those ideas and turn them into a published book!
Important Note about Ghost Writing:
This is a highly collaborative and time-intensive process. Bearing that in mind, I will be very selective about which projects I take on, and reserve the right to deny any projects that may lie outside of my personal interests or beliefs.
